PC STYLE FRENCH BOUCHERON KNIFE
This is my version of a historically correct French trade knife. 7" blade of 01 tool steel, and is tapered in both directions as were the originals. Boxwood or beech grip secured with iron rivet pins. The grip is slightly oversized leaving a gap on the underside as were the originals. This gap is left open unless requested to be filled with cutlers resin, which apparently was not done by the French, but possibly by the English on their trade knives. The sheath is a center seam type with the seam up the backside, and may be had with a cross hatch design on the front at an additional cost. These are offered in oiled natural leather, stained reddish brown, or stained black with a vinegaroon solution.
Knife is $120.00. Plain sheath as shown $35.00. Tooled sheath is $45.00
Also available with a 4 1/2" to 5" blade at $95.00, sheath for this size is $30.00, $40.00 if tooled. |
