FRENCH BOUCHERON TRADE KNIFE. 7" blade of 01 steel, walnut grip secured with two iron pins. Tapered partial tang, and distal tapered blade. This knife is a copy of the original French knives traded to the Native Americans, and used by whites as well during the 18th c. Most the originals came with blond boxwood rather than the walnut. I am checking on the availability of these woods. Knife is $100.00. A center seam sheath is $35.00, when purchased with knife.
I now have a source for boxwood, at an extra cost of $10.00 over the cost of the walnut, or beech. I am also now offering these with an optional octagon grip at no extra charge
Historical up grade. See the details on the English Trade knife photo. Details are basicly the same, same price. $100.00. Photos later.
